Overall, I have been very happy with the product and the data it can provide me about my employees which is helpful in many ways. We current use the product for various functions including KPI's. After using the product for some time we decided to add the product to our offering as a value add to our contact center solution we supply.
Pros:
WorkTime is great for Time and Attendance, Activity, Productivity, content filtering and per client time logging. Its not only a productivity tool. We have many uses for WorkTime outside of the initial intended use and we are finding more uses as time passes. Being non-invasive the product is generally accepted well by staff.
Cons:
The current inability to track users that are not on their device all day can be problematic but I do regularly suggest new features and many of these are or will be added.

Overall WorkTime does what it is supposed to and even some more. We've tried several other solutions, and WorkTime seemed the least problematic, the easiest to use with the clearest presentation of data. And we were completely right. I have this software installed on 7 computers that I manage. I use it strictly for monitoring windows login/logout events. I really like that it is able to run in the background so general users do not have to see it. It is easy to export reports in a number of different formats. I have been using the program for years and feel it is the best value out there for what it does. I have run into a few glitches, some of which Nestersoft has been slow to fix. I ended up writing a simple macro in excel to get the data in the format that I need it. Better documentation defining how the calculations are performed for each available report metric would help, the metrics are not always what they seem. I definitely intend to keep using it.

When we started our consulting firm, we found that we were billing clients for only a fraction of the time we were spending on their projects. We had no reliable way of tracking time for projects that often spanned weeks or months. I compared many time tracking tools, and found that most require the user to remember to log in to a website or launch an app. WorkTime Professional was a lifesaver. The features I like best are: 1) the ability to track time in a granular fashion by client, project, and task; 2) the fact that the tool is always there as a transparent window on my screen, that I can move around or minimize, and I don't have to remember to log in somewhere to start it; 3) time can be added manually; and 4) it is easy to access details for client invoicing. This software has the essential features necessary for monitoring your employees. We've been able to tell who is working hard and who is goofing off. The price is great and for what you get it gives you great ROI. We would have like some additional features and would have been willing to pay more for features like integration with our phone system to know how much phone time and call attempts our employees made but we are happy with the software the way it is and hope these other features will come in the future. Another thing to note is that the reports on the employees' work hours only comes if they log in on the company's VPN. Some of our employees figured out that if they never log in on our VPN we can't monitor them. A nice feature to have would be that the system uploads the data to an internet server then that server sends the data to our server. That would allow us to get the data every time an employee touches the internet instead of depending on the employees loggin in on the VPN.

We wanted to find out the usage patterns of our equipment and software licenses, and not so much "worker" productivity as we are a school... we put this onto the computers to track student habits - not interested at all in individuals' behavior but more of anonymous totals. It worked fairly well for this. We switched to Labstats Online later on as they offered more of the usage tracking with much less personal data (schools have to watch out about what data they track about students).
